Haslital platform: collaboration, meeting point, innovation

Haslital platform: What is planned at Alpbachstrasse 5 and 7 in Meiringen ?. In addition to a place for joint work and innovation, a public meeting point is being created here, which is intended to enliven and enhance Meiringen.

The office at Alpbachstrasse 5 and 7 in Meiringen has been back in operation for a few months: The Platform Haslital association has rented the rooms on the ground floor, which until spring 2018 housed Ruch Architects. In the past few months, the platform has been piloted and a shared office has been set up. The official opening is planned for spring 2019. Until then, there is still a lot to do for the association members who live in the Haslital and work in different industries: The Haslital platform should become a public meeting place that enables joint work, networking, culture and innovation.

combine forces

«We would like to create an offer in Meiringen where people from near and far can meet and network. This is where ideas are discussed, forces pooled, projects developed and implemented, »says Daniel Studer, President of the Haslital platform. Especially an alpine region like the Haslital faces challenges with urbanization or climate change. Digitization, mobility and the changing social and economic needs also offer new opportunities, such as "coworking", i.e. working together of startups, teleworkers or SMEs from different industries in a publicly accessible place.

Meeting point and innovation laboratory

Together with Alex Rufibach, Max Ursin, Heidi and Marcel Schwaiger from Meiringen and Barbara Willener from Guttannen, Daniel Studer from Meiringen and Heinrich Neiger from Innertkirchen have launched the Haslital platform and have been working hard on the concept for over a year. The goal is to create a lively, inspiring place in Meiringen where people meet to work, exchange ideas, provide mutual support, enjoyment, craftsmanship and design - at the same time, the place should serve as a regional innovation laboratory. For example, the plan is to integrate an exhibition of the Unesco World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau Aletsch and to hold regularly stimulating events. "The Haslital platform should also contribute to the revitalization of the village and to the economic and social development of the region," added Studer. The development work is supported by the federal and cantonal authorities within the framework of the New Regional Policy (NRP).
